Matea Radic is a Winnipeg-based artist and illustrator. Her exhibit, 7, explores concepts of identity, displacement, and reconciling the idea of home, through her drawings and animations. Matea was born in Sarajevo and came to Canada as a child. She recently returned to Sarajevo for the first time in 25 years.
7 features work created in response to Matea’s childhood memories of leaving Sarajevo, and her experiences and feelings during her recent return to her homeland.
